House Committee on Education and Labor, Souder Amendment - No Abortion Mandate

Description

Amendment offered by Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN) during Education and Labor Committee markup of the America’s Affordable Health Choices Act (H.R. 3200). Amendment 31 provided that nothing in the bill would require a group health plan to provide coverage for or access to abortion, except to save the mother’s life or in cases of rape or incest.
